The Academy's Evaluation and Evidence Centre (EEC) captures insights about professional learning and practitioner inquiry to measure impact and inform system and thought leadership.

This role is responsible for leading a high performing team of specialist staff to measure the impact of the Academy's programs in relation to Academy objectives, to inform system and process design, enable innovation and continuous improvement and to measure Academy success against various indicators. The role leads the EEC in generating the research, evaluation and data that will support the implementation of the Academy's high-quality approach to professional learning across the education sector, including translating evidence into practical formats for use in schools, and influencing the selection of high impact professional learning in schools.

This role is suitable for someone with a background in either quantitative or qualitative methods and who has experience in leading and developing a team with diverse research and evaluation skillsets.

Key accountabilities for this role include:

  • Thought leadership and expert advice in research, evidence and evaluation
  • People and functional management
  • Strategic and business planning and reporting
  • Contract management - purchasing
  • Stakeholder management
