We are looking for a Mechanical team leader to join our mechanical engineering department as a key player in the development of next generation Network Switches. This key position includes leading the product and fixtures design, close interaction with HW, PMC (Product management & configuration), NPI, Thermal, Layout, Quality and Supply chain groups and leaders.

What you’ll be doing:

Leading a team of 5 Mechanical design Engineers.

Defining priorities, project plans, and allocating resources for various mechanical programs – in coordination with Product managers.

Driving all mechanical design aspects of Switches, custom Mezzanine boards and the test/assembly infrastructure (fixtures and jigs) to enable high volume manufacturing.

Proposing multiple early design concepts while working in fast-paced product development cycles.

Joining and leading task forces to investigate and support production excursions, failure analysis and reliability issues.

Performing risk assessment and mitigation plans, as part of product design.
What we need to see:
-
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, or higher, from established University.

5+ years proven experience in electro-mechanical product design, including PCB/PCBA design.

3+ years of experience as team manager (overall 8+ years in the field).

Ability to lead team members and matrix functions.
-
Self-motivated with a sharp learning curve, able to work independently and as a teammate.
-
Excellent hands-on experience with 3D CAD. Creo knowledge is an advantage.

Strong background in design of components and systems for high-volume manufacturing technologies, such as: sheet metal, stamping and injection molding.

High awareness for quality, manufacturability, and their importance for robust manufacturing.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hebrew.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Higher degree, M.Sc. or MBA, from a well-established University.

Experience in working with supply chains, contract manufacturers and leading resources such as consultants, component suppliers, contractors, and manufacturing partners.

Previous work done in mechanical stress simulation tools.

Familiarity with liquid cooled systems design, testing and manufacturing.

Knowledge and experience in IDF file exchange with Layout engineers (ECAD).

Experience in development and implementation/training of new design methodologies.
