The Opportunity

This position is responsible for developing and implementing the LAB PepsiCo Positive Strategy. This role will lead the PepsiCo Positive Council and actively manage the entire pipeline of projects from idea to implementation. This role will work closely with the respective pep+ Goal Owners within LAB Operations and LATAM PepsiCo Positive team.
Your Impact
As The Sustainability Assoc Manager your scope will consist of:
- Operationalize the pep+ strategy for water, climate, packaging, and productivity across our end-to-end supply chain (inclusive of bottlers)
- Develop and drive key projects to achieve our pep+ water, climate, and packaging commitments by 2025 and 2030.
- Oversee all aspects of projects including developing cost estimates to support CapEx proposals, budgeting, and execution
- Support LAB Operations team in tracking complex projects aimed at reducing water, plastic, electricity, and fuel use within bottlers
- Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, commercialization, communications, marketing, and government relations to bring pep+ to life for our consumers and customers through the active management of the LAB PepsiCo Positive Council
- Identify new partnerships, opportunities, and emerging technologies to bridge our 2030 goals
- Support the planning and leadership of on-site deep dives in bottling plant to analyze current water, energy, and solid waste KPIs, seeking to identify and develop projects and strategies to improve efficiency and provide pep+ associated productivity to our bottling partners
- Actively motivate, train, and develop associates in relation to sustainability initiatives within Latin America Beverages
- Develop world-class collateral and information tools that communicate LAB’s sustainability programs in ways that appeal to customers.
- Communicating strategy and progress to business and engineering leaders in a clear and concise manner to influence and align key stakeholders at all levels
Who Are We Looking For?
- Education:
Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Sustainability, an ESG-related field, or engineering from an accredited university and a minimum of 8 years of experience in sustainability, project management, or a closely related field
- Experience:
Minimum 5 years leading projects or programs of increasing complexity
Demonstrated experience developing strategies to meet core business objectives and proven results executing plans
Superior written and verbal communication skills (in English and Spanish)
Demonstrated experience communicating to all levels in an organization
Experience working in a matrix organization and leading cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
Thinks strategically and can codify long-term sustainability opportunities and priorities for the organization
Operates efficiently and effectively in a matrixed environment and demonstrates effective collaboration across multiple layers
