We are seeking versatile multi-service workers for our client located in the Pirkanmaa region of Finland. If you have experience in cleaning, facility maintenance or kitchen work, along with a strong command of English, come and be a part of a country known for offering one of the best work-life balances in the world.

Job Description

Your primary role as a multi-service worker will be to perform various tasks related to facility maintenance, cleaning, kitchen assistance, and basic support activities. You will be expected to keep the kitchen clean, handle dish maintenance, and do the cleaning and housekeeping in other customer facilities, with a good customer service attitude. You will also assist with food preparation and serving various meals. You will need to follow the instructions and procedures given to you at work.

Your work will be carried out in kindergartens, schools, elderly houses, and hospitals in the Tampere and Pirkanmaa region. The starting date is expected to be in November 2023, or at the latest beginning of 2024.

Main tasks of a Multiservice worker include:

• Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform routine cleaning tasks throughout the facility, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting. Clean and sanitize common areas, restrooms, bedrooms, and other designated spaces as required.

• Bed Linen and Laundry: Change and replace bed linens and towels regularly. Collect, sort, and launder soiled linens, ensuring they are properly cleaned, dried, and stored.

• Kitchen Assistance: Support the kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and measuring ingredients. Assist with plating and serving meals when necessary.

• Food Warming and Dishwashing: Warm up prepared food and beverages as required. Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

• Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Follow established health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe disposal of waste materials.

Job Requirements

All the employees will receive a comprehensive orientation, but it will help you succeed at work if you have:

• Previous experience in a similar position as a cleaner, housekeeper or kitchen helper is a great advantage.
• Good physical condition and ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects or equipment.
• Good level of English or Finnish languages
• Hygiene passport is mandatory for the position (we will assist you in obtaining a hygiene passport certificate in Finland if necessary).
• Capable of efficiently completing tasks within designated timeframes while maintaining attention to detail.
• Good organizational skills and precise approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Genuine passion for customer service and hospitality
• Energetic, cheerful, and flexible attitude.
• Additionally, a clean criminal record is required for this position.
