Outline
- This position is an area manager for ECO Animal Health Ltd. The primary task is to manage and grow ECO’s business in North/South Vietnam, working with ECO wholly owned companies and with ECO’s existing network of costumers and distributors.
- Identifying and signing up new business opportunities where appropriate to achieve sustained growth of all products in the region.
- The successful candidate will have proven sales experience in animal health, ideally within anti-infectives, vaccines and or antiparasitic products, specifically in the swine and poultry market segment.
- The role will require regular travel throughout North/South Vietnam and sometimes overseas and therefore a willingness to travel and spend time away from home is essential. The successful candidate should be in North/South Vietnam.
Key purpose of the role
- To develop business and sales activities in the assigned geographical area to achieve the sales and profit goals specified in the Commercial Plan.
- Manage ECO products in North/South Vietnam to attain turnover and contribution growth.
Main responsibilities
- Achieve / exceed sales targets in the territory.
- Ensure that ongoing business processes are in line with Company and local regulations.
- Provide line manager with regular feedback of activities – planned and otherwise, via call plans, weekly report, and other agreed communications.
- Whilst updating dossiers is solely the responsibility of the Regulatory Team, to be aware of expiry dates.
- Prepare and implement area manager plans for identified customers.
- Follow up on costumers/distributors/importers, suggesting all relevant changes whenever necessary.
- Attend exhibitions and meetings as required within and outside your territory to support business goals.
- Represent ECO Animal Health in a professional manner, building the reputation and carry out business activities in a way that is aligned with ECO’s Company Culture and Values.
- Manage your designated territory to achieve the required coverage and frequency of face-to-face contacts within veterinary practices and other costumer categories in your territory.
- Work within all regulated timescales for reporting of Complaints and adverse reactions.
- Carry out market research, market monitoring and competitor monitoring on both an ad hoc and structured basis reporting back to your line manager and other colleagues as required.
- Produce reports and data as required to members of the Management Team.
- Deliver accurate and on-time admin tasks e.g. end of month documents including expenses.
- Sales forecasting for budgeting & stock management
This is not an exhaustive list of responsibility, and the role holder will be expected to carry out additional, appropriate responsibilities.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- ECO drives its sales development and strategies by supporting both its products and costumers on the base of delivering a high technical service and backup. Given this, a Veterinary or Agricultural Degree would be, although not a must, highly valued.
- Experience of over 5 years in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry in sales positions within the GB is a must.
- Specific experience in the poultry and swine market segment will be highly valued, as well as proven knowledge and relationship with stake holders on those markets (Vets, specialised practices, feed mills, nutritionists, etc.).
- User of IT tools at sufficient level for business/professional purposes.
- Used to work individually and independently.
