Part Time Cleaner [Ireland]


 

Tara Care Centre is looking for a part-time cleaner to join the housekeeping team.

Teamwork is essential, hours can be flexible with good communication with the team. We are looking for someone to roughly work 20 hours (provisional Monday Friday and Saturday) and cover holiday periods.

Main purposes of job

1. Ensuring the house is kept to a high standard of cleanliness.

2. All rooms must be cleaned daily.

3. All bathrooms must be cleaned daily.

4. All common areas must be cleaned twice daily.

5. High touch surfaces to be cleaned twice daily.

6. All rooms to be buffed once monthly.

7. Buffing of rooms, dayrooms and hallways.

8. All areas cleaned to be documented and signed.

9. Housekeeping staff should be polite and communicative with residents while on duty.

Key requirements

1. Compliance with required training especially in Infection control, cleaning products & chemical safety, fire safety and safeguarding and other training as advised by management is essential.

2. Knowledge of the use of appropriate PPE is paramount, during infectious outbreaks and dealing with spillages of bodily fluids.

3. Ensure chemical safety by storing chemicals safely in the chemical press while not in use.

4. Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning any spillages, body fluid or any debris caused by a resident while on duty.

5. Cleaning trolley must be cleaned and stored properly while not in use.

6. Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning common areas for trainings or events.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: From €11.50 per hour
